OD

Diana McKnight has owned Crystal View Optometry since 2012. She grew up in the Sacramento area and went to Sac State for undergrad and graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 1997. She started her career as a Naval officer, serving as an optometrist on a submarine base in Connecticut. She then spent the next 10 years growing a successful practice in Grass Valley before relocating to Elk Grove. After 12 years in Elk Grove, Dr. McKnight made her way back to Grass Valley and is practicing in both locations. Her husband, Mike is an auto service adviser and they live in Elk Grove with their dog, Rosie. She is also a 20 year member of Soroptimist, serving as a past president and fundraising chair. Her local club serves to empower women and girls to live their dreams both in Elk Grove and internationally.

Dr. Amrita Kaler joined Crystal View Optometry in 2018. She received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from California State University, Stanislaus. She went on to graduate from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2012 and has been practicing in the Central Valley since then. Dr. Kaler is committed to providing thorough, personalized care for each and every one of her patients. Outside of practicing optometry, Dr. Kaler enjoys spending time with her family and raising her two young sons.

Dr. Aubrey Vetrone joined our practice in November of 2020. She grew up in Elk Grove and has returned after her schooling to serve as an optometrist to her friends, family, and hometown community. After graduating from Pleasant Grove High School, Dr. Vetrone started her undergraduate career at San Diego State University (SDSU), majoring in Biology. After 2 years at SDSU, Dr. Vetrone had her son, Kayden, and decided to finish her schooling at California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) to be closer to home. She graduated from CSUS with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences and shortly thereafter started her career journey as an optometry student at UC Berkeley’s School of Optometry. She became Dr. Vetrone in May of 2020 and then in June of 2020, welcomed her little girl, Eliyana, into her family. She is currently expecting a baby girl, so her family will be growing to 5 come September 2023. When she isn’t in the office, she enjoys traveling with her friends and family, trying new restaurants, and taking as many pictures as she can. Dr. Vetrone is thrilled to be back in her hometown and excited to meet you and your family and provide the best eye care she possibly can.

Dr. Karen Hawk grew up in Fair Oaks, CA, and graduated as valedictorian from Bella Vista High School. She then went on to study at U.C. Davis, where she earned a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences. She pursued a graduate degree at U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry. As a student at UCBSO, Dr. Hawk won many academic scholarships and earned multiple academic accolades, including the Beta Sigma Kappa Silver Medal for Highest Academic Standing in her Class. In 1998 she graduated from UC Berkeley with her Doctorate in Optometry. Dr. Hawk has been practicing in various capacities in the Sacramento area since graduating. In 2010, she was named “Best Optometrist in Yolo County” by the Daily Democrat. Outside of work, Dr. Hawk enjoys traveling, taking long walks with friends, and spending time with her husband, 2 children and 2 beagles! Dr. Hawk thoroughly enjoys providing quality eye care with a personal touch, and is thrilled to be joining the team at Crystal View Optometry.

Office Manager/Optician

My name is Mallely, and I am the office manager and office biller with 16 years of optical experience. I have been with Crystal View Optometry since 2016. I enjoy working at Crystal View because the team we have is my second family. I love learning something new every day and sharing the knowledge I have with all the staff. My father is my hero and he has always taught me and my siblings excellent work ethics, morals, and values.

I went to school for medical assisting and did my internship at an optometry office. That’s when I fell in love with optometry and have been in the field for 19 years. I am a mother to two beautiful children and I enjoy cooking, going to church, hiking, music, fitness, and spending time with friends and family.

Hi, my name is Angela. I've been an optician for 16 years, the last 7 of which I have spent here at Crystal View Optometry as an optician and the optical lab manager. I believe a good pair of glasses can really improve your quality of life because it's how you're viewing the world around you. When I’m not working to get patients the best pair of glasses, as an introvert, you will find me at home, enjoying the simple things in life.

I have been an optician for over 15 years. I am originally from the Bay Area and moved to Sacramento in 2015. My husband and I love gardening and going out with our kids. I also enjoy walking with my fur babies and recently developed a new hobby of crocheting and baking with my daughter.

Hello! I’m Tabitha Beeler and I am an ABO certified optician in the state of California. I attended National Career Education in Citrus Heights and graduated on the Dean’s List in 2020. I love crafting and painting in my spare time. I try to bring that creative energy into finding fun and exciting frames for my patients, while still addressing their fit and budget needs. I look forward to helping you at Crystal View Optometry!

Steve has been an optometric technician for over 5 years in the Sacramento area. He is dedicated to providing an excellent standard of care to his friends and neighbors in his hometown of Elk Grove. On his off time you can find him BBQing, hitting the links, fishing, or grabbing a dole whip by the Tiki Room in Disneyland.

I have a passion for eyewear fashion. I also enjoy learning about new lens design & technologies. My hobbies include going to the gym and watching basketball #gokings!

Hello! My name is Ashley. I entered the Optometry world in 2017 and joined the Crystal View family in December 2023. 

My main focus is contact lenses - from disposable soft lenses to specialty lenses, I'm passionate about them all! 

I enjoy spending time with my family and cats, cross-stitching, and playing board/video games!

I graduated from National Career Education’s Optical program with a 4.0 and certified for my ABO in 2021. After learning about optical science and eye anatomy I found my forever career and I love educating patients about everything optical. When I’m not helping patients my hobbies include reading books and adventuring with my lovely wife, Kirsten, playing video games, playing Dungeons & Dragons with my friends, and hitting the gym!
